General terms for participation in competitions
THEGYM regularly hosts competitions, including on Facebook. All THEGYM competitions on digital platforms are not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta.
The following terms apply to all competitions organized by THEGYM, unless other terms are specified in the specific competition.
Participation in THEGYM competitions is free, unless otherwise stated, and each participant may only enter once. If THEGYM discovers the use of a false name or identity, the participant may be disqualified from current and future competitions.
Employees of THEGYM and their household members are not allowed to participate. Employees of third-party partners and their households may also not participate in competitions where the partner is a sponsor.
Winners are selected randomly and will be contacted directly. If a winner does not respond within 30 days, THEGYM reserves the right to select a new winner, who will then receive the prize. By participating, you consent to THEGYM contacting winners directly by phone or email to arrange the practical details of prize collection or delivery.
Entries submitted after the deadline will not be considered. THEGYM decides whether a submission is received on time and may not be held responsible for technical issues or other factors preventing timely participation. Participants are responsible for ensuring timely entry.
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. Winners must provide THEGYM with their name, address, phone number, and email address. If the prize exceeds a value of DKK 750, the winner is responsible for reporting this to the tax authorities. THEGYM assumes no responsibility for any consequences of failure to report.
By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions. Competitions may be ended without notice, and THEGYM’s decisions regarding the competition are final.
Privacy Policy for Competitions
This privacy policy explains how THEGYM processes your personal data when you participate in competitions. By participating, you agree that your personal data will be processed in accordance with this policy. Processing is necessary to manage your participation in THEGYM competitions.
Data Processing
THEGYM is responsible for processing your personal data. Your information will not be shared with third parties and will only be used internally by THEGYM for the competition and any marketing consents.
Access to personal data is limited to relevant employees in management, marketing, and customer service functions.
We collect the following information when you participate:
- Name
- Phone number
- IP address
- Time of participation
- Technical information (device, browser information, log data) for security and documentation purposes
Purpose of Processing
- Administer participation
- Randomly select and contact winners
- Document the competition process
Marketing
If you tick the optional marketing checkbox, we may also process your data to send:
- Emails
- SMS messages
- Phone calls from THEGYM, THESTUDIO, and THEBITE
Your marketing consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting info@thegymaarhus.dk.
Competition data will be deleted no later than 12 months after the competition ends. If you have consented to marketing, your data will be retained until you withdraw your consent.
Legal Basis
THEGYM processes your personal data in accordance with this privacy policy because it is necessary to pursue our legitimate interest in running the competitions you participate in, in accordance with GDPR Article 6(1)(f).
