THEGYM is a new and unique fitness center in Aarhus that raises the bar for your fitness experience. The name alone, THEGYM, is a statement in itself — with the emphasis on “THE.”

From the designer furniture in the LOUNGE area, which has the exact same lighting solution as the Noma restaurant, to the FITNESS area with state-of-the-art exercise machines, to the RELAX area with Finnish sauna and saunagus, infrared sauna and bio sauna, the attention to detail is second to none.

We’ve created a place that is truly one of a kind. This is the place. Just as there’s only one Noma, we are the fitness world’s answer to Noma. We are a destination for those who want more than just 45 minutes of training before heading home to shower. That’s why we believe the name couldn’t have been anything else.

MEET THE TEAM BEHIND

Lars Mølvad
Owner, Director, Coach & extremely skilled specialist and Personal Trainer

Lars is passionate about his lifestyle, training and teaching and loves to share his knowledge and acquire new ones.

He has worked as a fitness and lifestyle instructor for nearly 20 years, with the last 10 years spent as a personal trainer through the company Udendørstræning.dk. It is now one of the largest providers of bootcamps in Aarhus. As a self-employed professional, he has taken multiple courses and certifications to always stay updated with the latest knowledge. This ensures that his clients always receive the best guidance.

For Lars, technique and quality are more important than quantity, and he aims to make you independent in your training. His philosophy and mission are to teach with the belief that we are in control of our own bodies — not the other way around — meaning that you are the one who defines your limits.

In addition to his experience with personal training and bootcamps, he has previously worked with young athletes in collaboration with Team Denmark within the organization Viborg Elite. Furthermore, he has also been a coach at CoachIgniter, where he focused on optimizing personal trainers and their businesses.

When he’s not working, he’s either working out or playing foodie in the kitchen – much to the delight of his wife and two boys.

Lars also skydives at Skydive Viborg, where he has won several medals, including the title of Danish 8-man formation skydiving champion several years in a row.

Simon is an experienced trainer who makes your workout sessions both fun and challenging. He tailors the training to your individual needs and pushes you further than you thought possible. Your training may involve twisting, bending, crawling, throwing, or moving in ways you’ve never tried before. With Simon’s sessions, you’ll receive guidance in unlocking your body’s full potential in terms of strength, coordination, endurance, and mobility. Simon also helps you find the balance between a busy life and your well-being. He has been a personal trainer for over ten years and holds certifications in Global Nutrition & Health, among others.

Simon is from England and can teach in both Danish and English.

With Camilla, you get an instructor with 20 years of yoga teaching experience.

Camilla creates unique programs to strengthen you with an expanded understanding of your body, promoting both physical and mental vitality. Through carefully structured yoga sessions, she guides you in releasing built-up stress and tension, while also teaching mindfulness practices that equip you with the tools to cultivate calm and ease in your mind.

Jordan Adams
Personal Trainer, Small Group Trainer, Bootcamp Trainer & Host

Jordan has built an impressive career in training and health, with over a decade of experience as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach in Denmark, England, Spain, and Australia. His focus is on helping individuals overcome injuries, achieve their personal and athletic goals, and unlock their body’s full potential.

Jordan has never stopped striving for improvement. He has continuously expanded his professional toolbox by attending a number of qualification courses in areas such as Kettlebells, TRX, CrossFit, Bodybike and Motion Health Reference. This constant learning and adaptation ensures that his workouts are both motivating and varied, and individually tailored to your goals, abilities and desires. Whether you are struggling with an injury, training for a specific event or looking to set new personal records, Jordan is dedicated to providing the support and guidance needed to ensure success.
With Jordan as your coach, you can be sure to receive professional guidance based on solid experience, expertise and a deep understanding of body movement and potential.

Lotte Jakobsen
NLP Coach, Food Mentor & Host

Lotte is a trained NLP Coach, food mentor, and holistic facial therapist. With a background as a former competitive swimmer, sport and health have always been a significant part of her life.

Subsequently, her interest in mental health and personal development grew, and today it is her life passion. She is passionate about helping and motivating people to feel good – both inside and out.

As an NLP Coach, she can help you clarify your values and goals, improving your relationship with yourself and changing your limiting beliefs, which often keep you stuck in the same patterns.

As a Food Mentor, Lotte specializes in the psychological aspects behind disordered eating patterns and negative body image. She can help you with issues such as overeating, emotional eating, and negative body perception. Working from a coaching and therapeutic approach, she helps you rediscover a natural and self-loving relationship with food and yourself.

As a Holistic Facial Therapist, she combines cosmetic acupuncture, gua sha, and face cupping. This helps reduce lines and wrinkles, acne, and scars, while giving the face a natural lift. The treatment is pain-free and has a calming effect on both the body and mind.

Emily A. White
Personal Trainer, Small Group Trainer & Host

Emily is trained in sports and has many years of experience in both athletics and strength training. She makes it a point to meet you as a client on equal terms, and she is passionate about creating a safe and enjoyable training environment with a focus on your needs.

You’ll quickly realize that Emily has extensive knowledge in areas such as injury prevention, muscle building and weight loss.

She believes that injury prevention and building a foundation of strength and stability are essential for sustained training progress. With Emily as your trainer, she looks forward to working with you!

Malene F. Sørensen
Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist, Personal Trainer & Bootcamp Trainer

Malene is a trained physiotherapist and sports massage therapist and will help you improve and restore your body’s function and reduce pain.

Join a program whether you need rehabilitation after an injury, suffer from chronic pain, or want to improve your overall mobility or strength and ensure a better quality of life.

As a sports massage therapist, she offers deep tissue massage that can help alleviate muscle tension, improve blood circulation, and accelerate your recovery after training or injuries. You will feel more relaxed, flexible, and ready to perform at your best. She also provides wellness massage and prenatal massage.

Malene has a background in gymnastics and CrossFit. She has a great passion for teaching and has been instructing functional training for many years. A strong sense of community and a safe environment are very important to Malene, and you will always be met with openness, warmth, and understanding.

Stine Fisker
Psychomotor Therapist, Personal Trainer & Bootcamp Trainer

Stine is a trained psychomotor therapist and personal trainer.

Psychomotor therapy gives you insight into how your body and mind work together. The treatment is based on your individual needs and goals. Using manual techniques, exercises and dialog, Stine focuses on stress reduction, relaxation and pain relief, among other things.

The treatment is also for those who simply want to get to know their body better and discover its resources, allowing you to take better care of yourself. All of this with a special focus on the connection between body and mind.

Stine also offers personal training, where she combines her therapeutic knowledge with the training process. She starts from where you are and works with you to improve both your physical and mental health.

Stine also has experience as a class instructor where she is trained in TRX and functional training.

Rasmus Aagaard
Personal Trainer

Rasmus has worked as a personal trainer for over 10 years, giving him extensive practical experience in helping various groups of people reach their goals. In addition to his broad experience, Rasmus has always had a passion for learning and improving himself, ensuring that he can always provide the best possible service to everyone he works with.

Over the years, Rasmus has expanded his knowledge by attending various conferences, courses, and certifications. This has resulted in more than 30 certifications in health, coaching, nutrition, and training.

Rasmus has worked with everything from weight loss and muscle building to weight gain and performance optimization for both professional and semi-professional athletes.

His clear goal, regardless of who he works with, is to enhance your quality of life, well-being, and overall health. This is often achieved through structured strength training and guidance on optimizing the choices we all face every day. The path to your goal is one you will plan together, so you can find the solution that works best for you.

During a program with Rasmus, you will experience more energy in everyday life, feel more confident in your own body and become more aware of the choices and actions that improve your health.

Having studied in the USA for a period at the University of North Carolina, Rasmus is fluent in both Danish and English.

Torben B. Jensen
Acupuncturist and Manual Therapist

Whether you’re struggling with pain, stress, digestive issues or want support to quit smoking, Torben can help you.

He looks beyond symptom management and delves into your posture and imbalances to find the root cause of your pain or imbalances. Using techniques such as acupuncture, cupping and manual therapy, he customizes each treatment to your specific needs.

With over 15 years of broad experience in health, Henriette offers a unique, holistic approach to your training and wellness.

With Henriette, you get not just training, but an in-depth understanding of your body’s needs and potential. Whether it’s strength development, rehabilitation, or nutritional counseling, Henriette has the right tools and knowledge thanks to her extensive education and certifications from both Denmark and abroad.

Henriette is particularly passionate about helping women see strength and mental training as a valuable investment in their future. Her goal? To give you the freedom and opportunities that allow you to live life on your own terms.

Her philosophy? Personal training is more than physical training – it’s a platform for personal development that extends far beyond the physical.

Kasper Seldal
Bootcamp Trainer & Host

Kasper has developed a solid coaching foundation in recent years through various roles in the fitness industry. He spent a year in Spain as a Fitness & Functional instructor at Club La Santa, where he taught a wide range of classes including kettlebell training, Crossfit, Circuit fusion, Powerlifting, TRX, and Olympic weightlifting, to name a few. Kasper’s approach to training focuses on inspiring and expanding the understanding of training by introducing new aspects of different training methods. He is constantly on the hunt for new knowledge, not only for himself, but also to inspire others.

When you train with Kasper, you’ll experience a playful and curious approach to training, where there’s also room to geek out on techniques, even in the most basic exercises.

Andrea R. Þorvaldsdóttir
Massage Therapist, Bootcamp Trainer & Host

Andrea is originally from Iceland but has lived in Denmark for the past five years, where she has immersed herself in physiotherapy and pursued her passion for sports and fitness. She has a strong background in gymnastics, CrossFit, and weightlifting, and today she teaches with plenty of experience and energy in both bootcamps and CrossFit classes.

Andrea is known for her infectious energy and strong focus on her participants. Her training is always centered around you and your goals – whether you’re chasing a new PR or simply want to feel stronger in your everyday life. For Andrea, it’s not just about working out, but about creating an experience that motivates you and gets you ready to win the day.

Andrea speaks Icelandic, Danish, and English.

Jens M. Bloch
Massage Therapist & Host

Jens is a physiotherapy student with a strong focus on rehabilitation and strength training. He’s passionate about helping you progress at your own pace and sees the combination of training and treatment as the best way to create the optimal foundation for your development.

As a friendly and approachable personal trainer, Jens always strives to create a safe and motivating environment—where there’s also room for a good laugh along the way.

With a background in both football and handball, and later a shift to CrossFit, Jens has gained extensive knowledge about training and how to adapt from one form of exercise to another. His experience working with elite-level athletes has given him a deep understanding of how the body functions and the demands that sports and training place on it.

As a personal trainer, Jens meets you where you are. Whether you’re recovering from an injury, looking to build more strength, or aiming to optimize your body’s function, his goal is to help you reach your training goals in a safe and effective way.

Katrina Kristensen
Gusmaster

With a busy everyday life, balancing both children and a job that involves work-related travel, Katrina has many things on her plate. That’s why she loves the peace she finds in the sauna. The sauna is her sanctuary, where she connects her body, mind, and soul.

For Katrina, the sauna is effective in helping us “turn off” our heads and become more present in our bodies.

With Katrina as your shower master, you will find that she likes to work with cold/heat therapy with a meditative recovery or with the cleansing effect of the sauna.
She looks forward to guiding you in the magical universe of the sauna.

Finja Rust
Gusmaster & Host

Finja is studying to become a teacher and also teaches CrossFit. She has a background in both dance and CrossFit, and has a general love for being active.

Finja has a great passion for teaching and her approach is always focused on the whole person, as she believes that body, mind and soul belong together.

In addition to training, Finja finds joy in nurturing her whole self by hiking, winter swimming, and practicing sauna infusions. This is where Finja feels at peace, able to be present in the moment and find calm. Finja’s sauna infusion sessions are for those who need relaxation, focus, and presence.

Finja values community and believes that there is something unique about the energy that arises when we come together and do the same thing!

She ensures to create a safe environment where you feel welcome. She thrives best when she can create a space where everyone can be part of an environment where we can grow together!

Emil Haarbo
Gusmaster

Emil has practiced a myriad of sports, but is particularly fond of climbing and weightlifting, which he does with a calm approach and good humor.

In addition to being active, Emil loves music and concerts. This passion also comes through in his sauna infusions.

Emil focuses on building high heat, experimenting with essential oil blends, and creating a sauna infusion experience that can be likened to endurance challenges. A session with plenty of power.

Julius Kristensen
Gusmaster & Bootcamp Trainer

Julius grew up with a tennis racket in his hand and has played tennis at the highest national level for many years. Although he has lowered his ambitions, sport and training still play a big part in his life. This interest has also been reflected in his career as a tennis coach in Kolding and Aarhus, as well as at Club La Santa in Spain.

Julius is on the floor or at our reception, always ready to help with a smile on his face.

Julius has a playful approach to his sauna infusions. He experiments with essential oils and music, ranging from jazz to pop.

Signe Førgaard
Gusmaster

As a shower master, Signe organizes saunas where she wants to create a space where it is possible to find peace, but also a space where you get out of your comfort zone.

She does this by combining high heat, different scents and music, with a recommendation to take a cold dip in the ice bath.

For Signe, gus can help bring peace of mind and reconnection with her body – and that’s exactly what she wants to pass on to you.

Niklas A. Graversen
Gusmaster

Niklas has found himself particularly comfortable in racket and bat sports, where he has also picked up an interest in good recovery.

He frequently uses saunas and cold water on his own body after a long day of physical activity to make sure he’s ready to go again the next day.

During a sauna infusion with Niklas, you can expect to be challenged by the heat, and he will encourage you to step out and challenge yourself with the cold. Niklas will focus on ensuring you leave the session with a great feeling — and hopefully, with a smile on your face.

Magnus is in our RELAX area, where you’ll find him as the sauna master. With a background and experience in sauna infusions, he sets the stage for a session where you can find peace and leave feeling revitalized with renewed energy and strength.

Mikkel Milsø
Gusmaster & Host

Mikkel has a background in CrossFit, with his current focus on running, injury prevention training, and general fitness.

As a sauna master, Mikkel creates a calm yet intense atmosphere, where the heat gradually builds up. The goal is to help you relax and find a deeper connection with your body — but also be prepared for the temperature to challenge you during the final minutes.

As a host, Mikkel is always ready for a good chat, whether it’s about training, sauna infusions, or the little joys of everyday life.

He is a regular part of THEGYM, where he works, trains, and enjoys the community – often all three at once.

Stine Thulstrup
Gusmaster

Stine is passionate about movement and physical expression, and has previously played football at a high level. Today, she challenges herself through running, cycling, and strength training, constantly pushing new boundaries — both physically and mentally.

As a sauna master, Stine creates a sauna infusion experience that balances well-being and challenge. She believes that growth happens when the body finds relaxation but is also pushed out of its comfort zone. In the sauna, she creates a safe and present space where everyone can unwind, immerse themselves in the moment, and feel the warmth working through their body.

Martin Bisgaard
Gusmaster

Martin has a great passion for sports and spends most of his time training and competing in triathlons. With a daily routine filled with physical activity, sauna infusions play an important role in his recovery and overall well-being.

His sauna infusion sessions range from deep, relaxing breathing exercises to high-intensity “high-gus” experiences, where the temperatures are truly felt. Each session is carefully crafted with customized oils and themes, ensuring a complete experience for both body and mind.
