SMALL GROUPS

We don’t offer traditional classes like other gyms do.
There are already many other gyms in the city that are good at this.
Instead, we want to focus on YOU and YOUR workout.
We achieve this through our Small Groups program, where we carefully select the right trainer for you that matches your needs and wishes.

TRAIN WITH LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE IN SMALL GROUPS

Our Small Group concept is weekly training sessions in small groups of 4-6 people.
These teams consist of people who are in the same situation as you and who share the same prerequisites and goals.

This is a great way to combine the best of a personal training program with the spirit and energy of a small, close community of like-minded people.

A PERSONALIZED COURSE

Small Groups is essentially group training based on a personal training program.
This means that the entire program is tailored to you as an individual.
You get your own training program, diet plan, coaching, habit sharing and personal one-on-one time with your trainer.
In other words, all the best of a customized personal training program combined with the energy and community of a small team.

YOUR MEMBERSHIP IS PAUSED

When you choose a Small Group course, your membership is paused. That way, you only pay for your Small Group course and not for both the course and membership at the same time.

Even if your membership is on pause, you still have free access to the center while you are in a program with us.
You only pay for the hours you spend with your trainer.

If you would like to collect 10 day tickets on one digital voucher that you can redeem over time, this is also possible.
After purchasing a day ticket or voucher, they will be available on your member profile with us, where you simply use your phone to check in.

The pricing structure is simple:

  • Day ticket: 175 kr.
  • Voucher of 10 day tickets: DKK 1,500.
  • THE MEMBERSHIP: DKK 899 per 4. Week + 1,000 kr. in creation.

Once you have registered below, your own member profile will be created. You can redeem it whenever it suits you to visit the center, and you can now download our membership app. In the app you can see the current number of visitors to the center, you can see when the sauna is available and you can book an appointment. Free of charge, of course.

YOUR MESSAGE CABINET PAUSES

Your Personal Training program is a separate program alongside your THEGYM membership.
If you choose a course with a personal trainer, your membership will be paused.
You only pay for your Personal Training during that period and not for both the program and membership at the same time!

You continue to have free access to the center while you are on a course with us.

In general, we have put together a center and a FITNESS area that has the most essential equipment based on what MUST be there?
And what can you NOT do without?

A philosophy we believe is important and where we want to stand out.
Why have four different bench press machines and spend resources, space and materials on them when you can customize an adjustable bench and use it in the functional area?

We believe in creating spaces that encourage quality and diversity.

Our cardio area offers both basic and advanced cardio machines, with the latest Intenza, Body Bike and Xebex machines.

This is where you warm up, get your heart rate up, do interval training and generally everything related to basic cardio.

You have all types of machines, from basic machines like exercise bikes, cross trainers, treadmills and rowing machines, to more advanced machines like stairmasters that can be adjusted in height to fit everyone, from those with short and long legs, to Body Bikes.

The two types of Body Bikes range from the common and most used spin bike to a Star Trac Bike.
An advanced spin bike with a 21″ all-screen display that offers a wide range of options from programs, mountain routes and the ability to connect your phone and stream TV while you burn calories.

The area is structured and divided into zones that follow your training journey from isolated machine training to more flexible and physically demanding machines and free weights.

You’ll find the latest equipment from Gym80, the market leader.
From machines to squat racks with platoons for weightlifting and dumbbells ranging up to 50 kg.

The area where you have the opportunity to fully focus on the free movement of the body with bodyweight training and scaling options with and without equipment.

The area is centered around a large functional rack that can support your training from pull-up bars to TRX trainers, rings and various functional equipment.
Whether you are training for injury prevention, rehabilitation or targeted muscle building, the area is ideal.

You’ll find rubber bands, balls, sandbags and kettlebells from 4 to 48 kg, and Bulgarian bags, which are great for core, shoulder and hip training for both strength and stability training.

In the heart of our FITNESS area you’ll find a 15 meter prowler track and magnetic braked sleds.
A workout that works on strength, explosiveness and endurance.

At the same time, the track can also be used for mobility training, walking lunges, farmerwalk and carries.

A place that focuses on getting down to business with stretching, mobility and small muscle training without equipment.
The area is simple and open, so you can take the time to stretch your whole body with yoga mats.

MEET OUR SPECIALISTS

Lars Mølvad

Owner, Director, Coach & extremely skilled specialist and Personal Trainer

Lars is passionate about his lifestyle, training and teaching and loves to share his knowledge and acquire new ones.

He has worked as a fitness and lifestyle trainer for almost 20 years, the last 10 of which have been as a full-time personal trainer through the company Udendørstræning.dk, which has become one of the largest providers of bootcamps in Aarhus.
As self-employed, he has taken several trainings and courses to always be updated with the latest knowledge.
This ensures that his customers always receive the best guidance.

For Lars, technique and quality are more important than quantity and he strives to empower you in your training.
His philosophy and mission is to teach with the belief that we control our own body, not the other way around – that is, you set your own limits.

In addition to personal training and bootcamps, he has previously worked with young athletes, in collaboration with Team Denmark in the organization Viborg Elite.
He has also been a coach in the company CoachIgniter, where he worked with optimization of personal trainers and their companies.

When he’s not working, he trains himself or plays foodie in his kitchen – much to the delight of his wife and 2 boys.
Lars also skydives at Skydive Viborg, where he has won a number of medals including.
DM.
Where he has won gold in 8-man formation jumping several years in a row.

Jonas T. Odgaard

Personal Trainer, Small Group Trainer & Host

Do you want to meet at eye level and with a playful approach to your training?
Then you should keep an eye out for Jonas.
He comes from a teaching background with experience from gymnastics, CrossFit and weightlifting.

Therefore, when Jonas approaches any sport, it is with play in mind.
He believes that it is with the playful approach that we allow ourselves to explore, experience, fail and try again without thinking too much about it.
Training has to be fun for us to want to keep doing it.

Jonas’ mantra is that once we dare to challenge what we think we can do, we experience what we are actually capable of.
This is what the playful approach helps to bring out.
When we stop focusing on the goal and start enjoying the process, there is no limit to how far you can go together.

For Jonas, the community can be at least as big a motivating factor to get going as the training itself.

Jordan Adams

Personal Trainer, Small Group Trainer & Host

Jordan has built an impressive career in fitness and health with over a decade as a personal trainer and strength and conditioning coach across Denmark, England, Spain and Australia.
His focus has always been to help individuals overcome injury, achieve their personal or sporting aspirations and realize their body’s full potential.

Jordan has never stopped striving for improvement.
He has continuously expanded his professional toolbox by attending a number of qualification courses in areas such as Kettlebells, TRX, CrossFit, Bodybike and Motion Health Reference.
This constant learning and adaptation ensures that his workouts are both motivating and varied, and individually tailored to your goals, abilities and desires.

Camilla Gadsden

Yoga Instructor

With Camilla, you get an instructor with almost two decades of yoga teaching experience.
With a background in naturopathic medicine, she also believes in improving your overall wellbeing through a holistic approach.

Camilla creates unique programs to empower you with an expanded understanding of your body that promotes physical and mental vitality.
Through carefully curated yoga sessions, she guides you in releasing accumulated stress and tension while imparting mindfulness practices that equip you with the tools to cultivate peace and ease in your mind.

Camilla is originally from Australia and can therefore teach in both Danish and English.

Simon Smith

Personal Trainer & Small Group Trainer

Find fun and enjoyment in your workout routine?
Or build a strong and more agile body – Simon is your man.
With Simon, you’ll find an experienced trainer who will make your training sessions both fun and challenging.
He will base the training on your own individual needs, but customize it in a way you enjoy and push you further than you thought you could.
Your workout might involve twisting, bending, crawling, throwing or moving in ways you haven’t tried before.
His sessions will help unlock your body’s full potential in terms of strength, coordination, conditioning and mobility.
Simon will also help you find the balance between your busy schedule and your wellbeing, and prioritize yourself so you can feel your best throughout the week.
He will help you be accountable for moving forward (despite inevitable setbacks from time to time), and be a coach you can spar with without judgment.
Simon has been a personal trainer since 2012 and is certified with a degree in Global Nutrition & Health.
He is best at English, but he can also speak Danish!

Lotte Jakobsen

NLP Coach, Madmentor & Host

Lotte is a trained NLP coach and food mentor.
With a background as a former elite swimmer, sport and health have always been a big part of her life.

Subsequently, her interest in mental health and personal development grew and today it is her life passion.
She is passionate about helping and motivating people to feel good – inside and out.

As an NLP coach, Lotte works with the relationship between mind, language and behavior, with the aim of creating positive change in your life and in yourself.

As a coach, she can help you clarify your values & goals – and act on them to improve your relationship with yourself and change your limiting beliefs, which are often the ones that keep us stuck in the same patterns.

Lotte believes that you have the answers and resources to create the life you dream of – she just helps you ask the right questions and find the answers within yourself.

As a food mentor, Lotte specializes in the psychological aspect of disordered eating patterns and negative body image.
She can help you with issues such as overeating, emotional eating, negative body image or if you find that thoughts about food take up far more space than they should.
Lotte works from a coaching and therapeutic approach, so you can rediscover a natural and self-loving relationship with food and yourself again.

Emily has a degree in physical education and many years of experience in both sports and strength training.
She makes a virtue of meeting you as a client at eye level, and she is passionate about creating a safe and fun training environment with a focus on your needs.

You’ll quickly realize that Emily has extensive knowledge in areas such as injury prevention, muscle building and weight loss.

She believes that injury prevention and building a foundation of strength and stability is essential for sustained training development.
With Emily as your trainer, she looks forward to working with you!

Malene F. Sørensen

Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist & Personal Trainer

Malene is a trained physiotherapist and sports massage therapist and will help you improve and restore your body’s function and reduce pain.

Join a program whether you need rehabilitation after an injury, suffer from chronic pain, or want to improve your overall mobility or strength and ensure a better quality of life.

As a sports massage therapist, she offers deep tissue massage to help you relieve muscle tension, improve circulation and speed up your recovery after training or injury.
You’ll feel more relaxed, supple and ready to perform at your best.
She also performs wellness massage and pregnancy massage.

Malene has a background in gymnastics and crossfit.
She has a great passion for teaching and has taught functional training for many years.

Frida Juel Tarpgaard

Physiotherapist, Massage Therapist & Bootcamp Trainer

You will primarily meet Frida at THEGYM BOOTCAMPS and when you book a sports massage in RELAX.
She is training to become a physiotherapist.

With Frida, you’ll experience a trainer who loves everything about movement.
For her, training is first and foremost about making it a fun and enjoyable experience, while pushing you to do a little more than you often think you can.
She has a weakness for high-intensity training and promises both smiles and sweat.

Stine Fisker

Psychomotor Therapist & Personal Trainer

Stine is a trained psychomotor therapist and personal trainer.

Psychomotor therapy gives you insight into how your body and mind work together. The treatment is based on your individual needs and goals. Using manual techniques, exercises and dialog, Stine focuses on stress reduction, relaxation and pain relief, among other things.

The treatment is also for those who simply want to get to know their body better and discover its resources so they can take better care of themselves.
All with a special focus on the connection between body and mind.

Stine also offers personal training, where she combines her therapeutic knowledge with the training.

Rasmus A. Kristensen

In addition to his extensive experience, Rasmus has always had an interest in learning and improving his skills to always provide the best possible service to everyone he works with.

Over the years, Rasmus has expanded his knowledge by attending various conferences, courses and certifications.
Over time, he has earned more than 30 certifications in health, coaching, nutrition and training.

Rasmus has worked with everything from weight loss and muscle building to weight gain and performance optimization for both professional and semi-professional athletes.

Kasper Seldal

Bootcamp Trainer & Host

Kasper has developed a solid coaching foundation in recent years through various roles in the fitness industry. He spent a year in Spain as a Fitness & Functional instructor at Club La Santa, where he taught a wide range of classes including kettlebell training, Crossfit, Circuit fusion, Powerlifting, TRX, and Olympic weightlifting, to name a few. Kasper’s approach to training focuses on inspiring and expanding the understanding of training by introducing new aspects of different training methods. He is constantly on the hunt for new knowledge, not only for himself, but also to inspire others.

When you train with Kasper, you’ll experience a playful and curious approach to training, where there’s also room to geek out on techniques, even in the most basic exercises.
